Roxy's Proxy is a two-piece grassroots band from Kemptville, Ontario, known for their rich harmonies and versatile musicianship. This couple brings a special dynamic to the stage, effortlessly blending coffee house vibes with energetic feels. The band initially gained attention by adding their own folksy twists to well-known cover songs. Over time, they've expanded their repertoire to include a growing collection of original tracks, now available on streaming platforms worldwide. Their music has even garnered radio play, a testament to their expanding reach.

The band's name, Roxy's Proxy, draws inspiration from a girl named Roxy who was never afraid to dance like no one was
watching. She lived each day without fear of judgment. As Roxy’s Proxy, the band strives to channel that fearless spirit and bring an infectious, carefree vibe to their audience, encouraging them to embrace the moment. These two were meant to sing together. Each song is distinctive, featuring a blend of harmonies and shared lead vocals.

​Born and raised in the East End of Ottawa, Rob demonstrated a natural talent for drumming from a young age, receiving his first drum set at just 11 years old. As he grew, he expanded his musical abilities by learning bass guitar and becoming proficient on the six-string. This versatility allows the duo to perform both energetic, upbeat sets featuring the Octopad percussion and heartfelt songs highlighted by Rob’s lead guitar.

Laurie grew up on the West side of Ottawa, with music always in her heart. After taking a break to pursue other passions, she eventually felt the pull to return to music. Rhythm guitar became her calling, and with the support and encouragement of loved ones, she and Rob began their musical journey together. Together they create beautiful harmony both on and off the stage.
